Supernova Star of world pianism Daniil Trifonov shocked Novosibirsk audience with his recital at Vadim Repin's Trans-Siberian Art Festival

On 20th of April Arnold Kats State Concert Hall held a recital of Daniil Trifonov – a supernova of world pianism. In his 25 years the musician is nominated for Grammy, gives solo concerts on the best stages of the world - in New York, London, Tokyo, Paris and other cities. His concert was a kind of musical discovery and a shock for the Novosibirsk audience - after a two-hour concert, the musician performed three compositions for the encore and received standing ovations of the audience.
In his solo program “The Flash of Supernova” pianist Daniil Trifonov performed music by Bach, Schubert, Brahms and Rachmaninov. The musician has become one of the biggest discoveries in the world of music lately.
“Despite the fact that Trans-Siberian Art Festival was founded quite recently, it has already acquired great fame both in Russia and abroad, and I was delighted to receive an invitation to give a recital in the framework of it, - says pianist Daniil Trifonov, - Performance in Novosibirsk will be my first in Siberia, because earlier I had never been here”.
In his 25 years old he has become an essential and important part of the modern music world. He performs with leading orchestras in Europe and the USA, Daniil Trifonov’s recitals are held in New York, London, Tokyo, Paris. His concert schedule is planned for several years ahead.
"Last night on the musical horizon of Novosibirsk not a supernova, but the unique comet flashed - Daniil Trifonov delivered a concert stunning soul and imagination, where the music of Bach, Brahms, Schubert, Rachmaninoff sounded in a new way for me - said Tatiana Lyudmilina, general director of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society on her Facebook page. - Those who were lucky enough to be in the hall will agree with me that it was one of the most unique concerts of the festival. Among the engagements for the season 2015-2016 Daniil Trifonov has cooperation with New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Stockholm; there’re concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, Wigmore Hall, Hercules Hall in Munich and the Palace of Music in Barcelona.
In January 2013 recording studio Deutsche Grammophon, which signed with Daniil Trifonov an exclusive contract, has foretold him the future glory of the "great Russian pianist-poet of the XXI century". The first pianist’s disc, recorded in cooperation with this company, was nominated for Grammy.
On April 21st pianist Daniil Trifonov will give a recital in the Omsk Philharmonic in the framework of Trans-Siberian Art Festival, and will perform the same program as in Novosibirsk.
The organizers of the Festival are Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society and Vadim Repin’s Fund. The project is supported by the Governor and the Government of Novosibirsk Region. The sponsor of the festival is Expobank, the partner of the festival is Dmitry Tereshkov. Project Vadim Repin & Greta Garbo in “Love” is being implemented with the support of Goethe Institute in Novosibirsk.
