13 thousand listeners attended the concerts of Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk

On April 24 at the Arnold Kats State Concert Hall there was the closing of Trans-Siberian Art Festival. Artistic Director of Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin, world-renowned cellist Misha Maisky and pianist Konstantin Lifschitz performed with Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the collective. The orchestra was conducted by its artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevicius.

The soloists and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra performed Max Bruch's "Kol Nidre" for cello and orchestra, Concerto for piano and orchestra № 1 by Franz Liszt, Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven.

The concert was preceded by planting the Apple Alley in front of the Arnold Kats State Concert Hall dedicated to the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic in the new concert season. Artistic director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin, Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk region, Alexander Titkov, Minister of Culture of the Novosibirsk region, Igor Reshetnikov, Director General of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Tatiana Lyudmilina, Managing Director of PJSC Moscow Exchange Igor Marich, representatives of philharmonic collectives took part in this event. PJSC Moscow Exchange became a partner of the event.

“Novosibirsk is the heart of Trans-Siberian Art Festival - said Vadim Repin, the artistic director of the project, - The next festival will be held in the second half of March 2017. And in some ways its program will keep similarities with the program of this year, and something will be fundamentally different”.

“Almost all concerts of the third Trans-Siberian Art Festival have been sold out - said at a press conference Tatiana Lyudmilina, general director of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society- the concerts of the festival this year were attended by about 13 thousand listeners, about 750 of them attended concerts in the Novosibirsk region”.

“First time this year Novosibirsk Philharmonic collectives performed not only in Novosibirsk in the framework of the festival, - said Vadim Repin, artistic director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival – On 11th of March Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra performed in St. Petersburg, on 21st of April Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra with me and Svetlana Zakharova presented in Krasnoyarsk project "Pas de deux on fingers and for fingers." The festival moves on, its locomotive remains in the same place - in Novosibirsk. And I am glad that every festival Novosibirsk audience discovers new names and gets new experience”.

Concert "See you again!" was the conclusion of the 16-day festival program in Novosibirsk.

During this time there were held 14 concerts, two of them in the towns of Novosibirsk Region - Ordynskoye and Iskitim.

During the festival, Novosibirsk saw two premieres: on April 15th, the Russian premiere of the project Vadim Repin & Greta Garbo in "Love", uniting Love silent movie of the year 1927with Greta Garbo starring and music by Aphrodite Raickopoulou; the author program by Aleksey Igudesman "Waltzes of the World" was shown on April 22nd in Novosibirsk.

During the festival, Novosibirsk audience saw and heard six programs with Vadim Repin and seven programs with the participation of Novosibirsk Academic Philharmonic Orchwstra – the collective which always remains the foundation of the festival program.

During the 16-day festival in Novosibirsk there were eight conductors from around the world and 19 soloists, more than 10 workshops, art-meetings with artists and specialized seminars.

Four collectives of Novosibirsk Philharmonic performed in the concerts of the festival: Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Filarmonica-Quartet, Chamber Choir. The total number of participants in the concerts in Novosibirsk was more than 200 people.

The organizers of the Festival are Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society and Vadim Repin’s Fund. The project is supported by the Governor and the Government of Novosibirsk Region. The sponsor of the festival is Expobank, the partner of the festival is Dmitry Tereshkov. Project Vadim Repin & Greta Garbo in “Love” is being implemented with the support of Goethe Institute in Novosibirsk.
