Trans-Siberian Art Festival is called “The Festival of the Year” in Russia

National newspaper "Musical Review" announced the winners of the annual award in the field of academic music "Events and Persons. Rating of 2015". Trans-Siberian Art Festival was recognized by experts as the festival of the year. In 2016, the project will bring stars of world music together on the stage of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic for the third time. The artistic director of the festival is the star of the world classical music, Novosibirsk native, violinist Vadim Repin. The national newspaper "Musical Review" prize was awarded to the artistic director of Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin and to executive director of the festival Oleg Bely.

In two years, the festival, conceived and organized by Vadim Repin and Oleg Bely, with the participation of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic, has become the biggest cultural event in the territory of Russia east of the Urals, the decoration of musical and cultural life of Russia.

Trans-Siberian Art Festival is a community of music (academic music, jazz, folk, ballet, cinema, painting), the highest artistic level, wide geography (in addition to Novosibirsk and the region - Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow), the meeting place for outstanding artists, the annual world premieres (violin Concerto of B. Yusupov in 2014, violin Concerto of L. Auerbach in 2015), vivid embodiment of the most daring and creative ideas. From 9th to 24th of April in Novosibirsk, with the support of the Governor and the Government of the Novosibirsk region Trans-Siberian Art Festival will be held for the third time, which artistic director is a star of the world classical music, a native of Novosibirsk, violinist Vadim Repin. In 2016, the festival will for the first time expand its geography beyond Russia. Along with concerts held in Novosibirsk, there will be several in Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk.

One of the key participants of the project is Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, which will perform in six programs. Vadim Repin has repeatedly emphasized the crucial role played by the team in the implementation plan of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. Also such collectives of Novosibirsk Philharmonic as Chamber Orchestra and Filarmonica-Quartet will perform in the two concerts of the festival.

The prologue to the festival will be the performance of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre on 11th of March. The performance, held under the auspices of the festival will be dedicated also to the 60th anniversary of the key collective of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society. Conductor is artistic director Gintaras Rinkevicius, soloist is a student of Zakhar Bron, a participant of the second Trans-Siberian Art Festival Mone Hattori (violin).
