SibJazzFest-2019 presents: a week of real jazz in Novosibirsk!

The international jazz festival SibJazzFest-2019 will be opened in Novosibirsk on the stage of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall on May the 21st, 2019. The festival programs will be held at the main concert venue of the Philharmonic almost every day until May the 28th. The artistic director of SibJazzFest-2019 - Honored Artist of Russia, artistic director and conductor of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Big Band - Vladimir Tolkachev built the festival schedule in the tradition of authoritative European jazz forums: each part of the concert is dedicated to a performance by one musician or group. At the end of the concert, a jam session of all the participants of the festival day will be held as a separate program.

SibJazzFest-2019 represents the star composition of participants: Ken Peplowski, clarinet, saxophone (USA), Jacek Namyslovsky, trombone and jazz quartet (Poland), Jean-Loup Lognon, trumpet (France), Alexey Cheremizov, piano (Moscow), Petras Geniušas, piano (Lithuania), Jurgen Neudert, trombone and jazz quartet (Germany), Vladimir Chekasin, saxophone (Lithuania), Leonid Chizhik, piano (Germany), Igor Dmitriev, piano (Gorno-Altaisk), Andrei Lobanov, trumpet (Germany), Evgeny Pobozhy, guitar and jazz quartet (Moscow), Lev Kushnir, piano and jazz trio (Moscow), Karina Kozhevnikova, jazz vocal, and many others. One of the evenings is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Siberian jazz, only our outstanding countrymen will take part in it.
The festival program is not limited to the concert performances of guests and representatives of Novosibirsk jazz: also on the 21st, 23rd and 24th of May there will be held a series of master classes in Novosibirsk Music College named after Askold Murov by Ken Peplowski, Vladimir Chekasin and Leonid Chizhik, on May the 21st an exhibition of the winners of international photo contests Oleg Panov (Ukraine) and Patrick Marek (Czech Republic) will be opened, and a creative meeting with masters will take place. As part of SibJazzFest-2019, charity events will be held: a charity children's concert, a special program “The amplitude of silence” for children with hearing impairments.
