Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates its anniversary with the concert "60 Years of Triumph" with the winner of the Competition named after Tchaikovsky Dmitry Masleev
On 29th of March Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra performs a festive concert "60 Years of Triumph" devoted to the orchestra’s anniversary. The orchestra conducted by its artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevicius will perform with pianist Dmitri Masleev, winner of the recent International Competition named after Tchaikovsky. European tour was also devoted to the anniversary and took place from 29th of February to 11th of March. Novosibirsk collective’s performs were listened by more than 10000 listeners in the cities of Spain, Germany, Austria and in St. Petersburg.
On 29th of March Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra gives the most important concert of the main season: the program "60 Years of Triumph" will be devoted to the anniversary of the leading musical collective of Novosibirsk. Together with the orchestra pianist Dmitri Masleev will perform - winner of the International Competition named after Tchaikovsky - one of the most prestigious competitions in the world. The orchestra will be conducted by Gintaras Rinkevicius - artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra.
"As a result of the recently passed European countries tour I can say with confidence: the orchestra reached a serious level so that the collective was invited to perform at major European stages. The result of this trip was the new proposals from representatives of the major agencies - said Tatiana Lyudmilina, general director of the Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society, - Being proud of the orchestra, we should not forget that the orchestra is not just successfully performed in Europe but carries a high social mission - promoting cultural image of the city and the region. This music is a bridge between the countries and peoples in the current difficult political situation".
Anniversary concert program contains Overture-Fantasia “Romeo and Juliet" by Tchaikovsky, Concerto number 2 for piano and orchestra by Rachmaninov and also miniatures of Mozart, Wagner, Bizet, Rimsky-Korsakov and other composers.
Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1956 by legendary conductor, People’s Artist of USSR, professor Arnold Kats. In 1982 it gained the title of “academic”. Today Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the best philharmonic orchestras in the country, it performs with the legendary soloists and conductors, gives concerts in leading concert halls of the world.
Program “60 Years of Triumph” comes to the Novosibirsk Philharmonics’ cycle “Laureates of XV International Competition named after P.I. Tchaikovsky”. Triumphant of XV International Competition named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (2015), winner of the I Prize and Golden Medal Dmitry Masleev (piano) will perform together with Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto №2 for piano and orchestra by Rachmaninov. To be noticed, that Dmitry Masleev studied in Novosibirsk in Novosibirsk Specialized Music School (college).
There will be held the exhibition of archival photographs and posters in the foyer of the concert hall, here also will be located a photo zone, where each participant will be able to imagine oneself in the role of a conductor or a musician. Evening dress code is appreciated.
