Chamber Choir will give an Easter concert at the railway station

On May 5 at 15.00 in the building of the railway station «Novosibirsk-Glavny» an Easter Charity concert of the Philharmonic bands: the Chamber Choir and the folk ensemble «Rozhdestvo» will take place. The Singing artel of Novosibirsk Music College will also take part in the concert.

"Historically railway stations were among the first concert halls, the center of attraction of culture. In Russia this tradition began with the opening of the famous train station in Pavlovsk in 1837: here the Orchestra under the direction of Johann Strauss performed, Fedor Shalyapin sang, — the artistic director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Choir Igor Yudin says, — in Novosibirsk our choir began the tradition of performances at the train station building 13 years ago, all these years, we carefully maintain it. During this time the folk ensemble «Rozhdestvo» joined us. This year the students of the music college will perform with us for the first time”.

Russian sacred music, folk music, popular works of Russian composers will be performed at the concert.
