25-years-old conductor will conduct Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra

18 march 2013, 12:00
On 23 and 24 March, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra will perform under Luca Bizzozero. One month ago he celebrated his 25. Swiss maestro is the youngest conductor performing in the evening program of the famous symphony orchestra for its nearly sixty-year history.

At the age of 17 Luca Bizzozero formed his first orchestra Pro Musica, in 2009 he graduated with honors from Paris Conservatoire. The Musician takes private lessons with renowned composer and conductor Pierre Boulez, improves his skills around the world, including the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Music Academy of Florence. Since 2010 the conductor has been actively cooperating with Russian symphony orchestras.

«Not everyone can lead the orchestra, one needs a supernatural flair and an outstanding leadership qualities, as it is not an easy task to dominate the hundred people, — Lev Krokushansky, manager of the orchestra said, — In the history of the orchestra there were cases when quite young people were at the conductor’s podium: Arnold Kats sometimes «allowed» his students to the orchestra, but there were only noontime concerts for children, they performed popular classics. I am sure that experience of cooperation with such a young conductor at the evening serious program will enrich us, and, of course, maestro Bizzozero».

Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Luca Bizzozero will perform compositions by Mendelssohn, Enescu and Harutyunyan; artist of the orchestra Ivan Koroban (trumpet) will be a soloist. Concerts will take place on 23 March at the Palace of Culture of Academgorodok and on 24 March at the Palace of culture of railway workers.
