Trio «Confusion Project» (Poland)

Andrei Konstantinov and Trio Confusion Project complete a tour among Russia in the Jazz Loft of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall on 30th of April, marking the World Jazz Day.

Confusion Project is Polish jazz trio from Gdansk created in 2013. A year later the musicians performed in the European Jazz Contest final, as one of the 4 best jazz bands in Europe. In addition, the trio has an award at the School & Jazz Festival 2013, as well as III place and an individual award for Michal Teselski on the IX European Musical Integration. The collective represents the music of Jazz-Fusion, hence draws from the wide palette of stylistics (from classics, dixieland and swing to latino, rock and drum ‘n’ Bass). Music consists of unorganized, unfolded compositions, which they present in a fresh, light, flowing with ideas interpretation.

Andrei Konstantinov met Trio Confusion Project at the international jazz competition BigSky, which was held in Moscow in June last year. After winning the competition he received from the jury a proposal of a joint project with a trio. This is how Polish musicians began to work with our compatriot. Andrey is a jazz saxophonist, composer and arranger, fond of academic music. He is a laureate of a number of contests, behind his shoulders there is the creation of his own jazz ensembles, which clearly announced themselves. Since 2016 Andrey Konstantinov is the soloist of Vladimir Tolkachev Big Band, continuing his work on author's projects.
