Vladimir Tolkachev Big Band returned from a tour to South Korea

Starting from 4 to 12 December Vladimir Tolkachev Big Band performed 4 concerts in the capital of the South Korea – Seoul.

The tour was held on the invitation of the agency BravoComm, which was offered after a successful first tour in July 2013. Then, among other venues, the Big Band performed at the main concert venue of South Korea – Seoul Art Center. This time the collective played at two city venues: at Gimpo Korea Art Center on 6 and 7 December, and at KEPCO Art Center on 10 and 11 December.

The program included jazz standards, classical jazz pieces, jazz arrangements of classical music.

Itar-TASS agency quotes the president of the cultural center “Pushkin house” Kim Sung Min who attended the final concert of the tour: “Not only I liked everything. I am very much surprised, because I thought Russia was only about classical music, orchestras, performing Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov and other classical composers. But it turned out that not only America can play jazz, but there is a very high quality jazz band in Novosibirsk”.
