23rd and 24th of April in Novosibirsk there will be the final concerts of Trans-Siberian Art Festival. The soloists in the two programs are the same: on the stage there will be the artistic director of Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin, world-renowned cellist Misha Maisky and pianist Konstantin Lifschitz. Chamber music concert on April 23rd will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the legendary violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin. The final concert of the festival will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, with which the soloists will come to the stage. The orchestra will be conducted by its artistic director and chief conductor Gintaras Rinkevicius.

“There are two brilliant concert waiting for us ahead, which I am sure, will be a worthy finale of the two festival weeks in Novosibirsk, - says Vadim Repin, artistic director of Trans-Siberian Art Festival - Unfortunately, one and a half days ago it became known that Boris Berezovsky, announced as a soloist in these programs will not be able to fly to Novosibirsk. And it’s very unpleasant to realize, that this situation with Boris repeats the second year. We had to find a solution - and it was found. On the stage in the final two concerts with me, Misha Maisky and other outstanding musicians will be Konstantin Lifschitz - legendary musician, known to Novosibirsk public by the last year program. I want to emphasize that the planned program is kept 100% - and those are four most difficult works in two days. Believe me, only few pianists in the world would be able to deal with it, and I am very grateful to Constantine, he came to our aid in such a difficult situation”.

In the program "To the memory of a Great Artist" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Yehudi Menuhin, there will feature Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio and Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet №1, violinist Clara-Jumi Kang and violist Andrey Gridchuk will participate in the performance. The final concert of the festival will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, which the collective celebrated in this concert season. Novosibirsk orchestra became the first orchestra, which Vadim Repin as a child came out on the stage with – it was conducted then by Arnold Kats, the founder of the collective. Artistic Director of Trans-Siberian Art Festival has repeatedly emphasized that the presence of the orchestra of such level in Novosibirsk became the requirement of the appearance of the festival in the city.

The soloists and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Gintaras Rinkevicius, artistic director and chief conductor of the collective, will perform Max Bruch's "Kol Nidre" for cello and orchestra, Concerto for piano and orchestra № 1 by Franz Liszt, Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven.

The organizers of the Festival are Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society and Vadim Repin’s Fund. The project is supported by the Governor and the Government of Novosibirsk Region. The sponsor of the festival is Expobank, the partner of the festival is Dmitry Tereshkov. Project Vadim Repin & Greta Garbo in “Love” is being implemented with the support of Goethe Institute in Novosibirsk.
