The Russian premiere of a new film by Bruno Monsaingeon about Mstislav Rostropovich will take place at the Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk

On 13 March in Novosibirsk and on 14 March in Toguchin, one of the regional centers of Novosibirsk region, a new film by the world-famous director Bruno Monsenjon "Mstislav Rostropovich. An indomitable bow " will be presented. The film of 2017 is timed to the anniversary of the death of the great musician. The audience will also have a meeting with the film’s creator and director of documentary films about the greatest musicians of the 20th century. In Novosibirsk, where the Russian premiere of the film will take place, the show and meeting will be held in the cinema hall "Cinema", in Toguchin - in the Cultural and leisure center. The world premiere of the film "Mstislav Rostropovich. An indomitable bow " was held on the French-German television channel ARTE in the end of 2017.

The new film by Bruno Monsaingeon , dedicated to the fate of Mstislav Rostropovich, included rare archival materials and new testimonies from the daughters of the musician Olga and Elena Rostropovich, and friends - Natalia and Ignat Solzhenitsyn, Martha Casals-Istomina and Gennady Rozhdestvensky.

The first visit of Bruno Monsaingeon to Siberia took place in March 2017: he presented his documentary films "David Oistrakh, People's Artist?" (1994) and "Glenn Gould. Hereafter" (2006) as part of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. and then he talked about the process of working on the films, remembered the stories related to the great performers who became their heroes, answered questions from listeners. The shows were held in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

Film shows are part of the program of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival from the first years of its existence. In previous years, documentary films about musicians in the program of the forum were represented by the director John Bridcut.

The concerts of the fifth Trans-Siberian Art Festival, headed by Vadim Repin, will be held from March to July 2018. The Russian part of the Festival will sound from March 9 to May 13 and will include Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Samara in its route. By tradition, small towns of the Novosibirsk region will not be left without attention, the list of which has expanded significantly this year: Berdsk, Akademgorodok, Krasnozyorskoe, Toguchin, Karasuk. The foreign part of the route will take place in the USA and Japan in June and July.

The key point in the geography of the festival is Novosibirsk - the hometown of the artistic director of the project. One of the key participants in the project is Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra. Vadim Repin repeatedly stressed the decisive role played by the collectivein implementing the idea of ​​the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. The main venue of the festival always remains the Arnold Kats State Concert Hall - the new Philharmonic Hall opened in 2013 and, according to Vadim Repin, has become one of the necessary conditions for the implementation of the idea of ​​the festival.
