The Philharmonia opens the outdoor festival «On the stairs»

On 24 June Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society opens the Festival “On the stairs”. This year one of the first open airs in the history of Novosibirsk will take place for the 15th time and will be traditionally devoted to the City Day.
From 24 to 30 June, the whole week preceding the City Day the philharmonic bands will perform on the stairs of the Chamber Philharmonic Hall. The program includes concerts of the Variety Orchestra, Pavel Sharomov Vocal Ensemble, Vladimir Tolkachev Bag Band, vocal ensemble «Markell’s voices», Concert Brass Band, folk ensemble «Rozhdestvo».
This year in addition to the performances of the philharmonic bands the program includes the premiere of musical-literary composition «Novonikolaevsk romance». The basis of the composition is the work of Novosibirsk writer Mikhail Shchukin «Horse thief and a gymnasium student», music is written by Novosibirsk composer Sergei Kravtsov. The composition will be performed by the Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments and the masters of artistic expression. The premiere is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Novosibirsk.
The festival will be terminated with gala concert at the City Day, but the Philharmonic doesn’t say goodbye to the audience. During the summer series of concerts «Classic summer» will take place in the Chamber Hall, and in the Art Cafe — «Evenings with candles».
