The legendary conductor for the first time arrives to Novosibirsk to celebrate the anniversary at Vadim Repin’s festival

On 27th of March Vladimir Fedoseyev – legendary conductor, celebrating this year his 85th anniversary – for the first time in his career will perform in Novosibirsk. In honor of his anniversary maestro conducts a great tour, Novosibirsk will hear him one of the first cities along with cities of Japan, Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.

On 27th of March Vladimir Fedoseyev will conduct Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra at Vadim Repin’s Trans-Siberian Art Festival. Soloist in the program "Fedoseyev - 85" is American pianist with international career Nicholas Angelich.

Fedoseyev is one of the most famous Russian conductors. For more than 40 years he headed Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra - one of the main symbols of Russian culture in the world.

Vladimir Fedoseyev began his career as a symphonic conductor at the invitation of great Mravinsky. Today he is in demand all over the world. For almost 10 years he led the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. He currently holds the post of visiting conductor at the Zurich Opera, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra (Munich), National Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France (Paris), the Finnish Radio Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony, the Dresden Philharmonic and many others.

At a concert in Novosibirsk maestro will conduct the overture to the opera "Der Freischütz" and Weber's First Symphony, also Brahms's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra №2, soloist is Nicolas Anglelich.

Trans-Siberian Art Festival will be held in Novosibirsk from 15th of March to 3rd of April. The artistic director of the forum is the star of world classical music, native Novosibirsk citizen, violinist Vadim Repin. The program and online purchase of the tickets is available at Philharmonic official website. This year prices of tickets for the festival are set almost twice lower than the prices of the previous festival.
