September 19 and 20 Philharmonic Chamber orchestra performs in Sumqayit at the festival dedicated to the founder of Azerbaijan music

September 19 Philharmonic Chamber orchestra becomes a participant of IX International Music Festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov. Novosibirsk musicians perform on the stage of Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall. Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, International competitions laureate, presidential prize winner Ayyub Guliyev will conduct the orchestra. September 20 the collective performs the festival program also in Sumqayit.

The International festival named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov is a major music forum supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a working group on interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Russia and the Ministry of Culture of Novosibirsk Region.

The festival will open on September 18, the birthday of the outstanding composer, the founder of Azerbaijani classical music, publicist, dramaturge, educator and public figure Uzeyir Hajibeyov. Musicians and orchestras from different countries take part in festival concerts. Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra was invited to the forum as "one of the best chamber collectives in the world", and this is emphasized by the organizers. Also Honored Artist of Russia, concertmaster of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Yulia Rubina will perform at the festival as a soloist.

The program of the festival includes music by Russian and West European classics, as well as works by Rodion Shchedrin, Gia Kancheli, Arvo Pärt, Azerbaijani composer Firangiz Alizade. The world premiere will be also performed at the festival.
