Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society held a meeting of the heads of Siberia regions’ Philharmonic Societies with the participation of Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Sergei Menyailo an
"The leaders of the Siberian Philharmonic Societies and representatives of the Ministries of Culture were invited to Novosibirsk by our organization", said Beibit Mukhamedin, Director General of Novosibirsk Philharmonic. "A pleasant occasion for this meeting was the visit to Novosibirsk of Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra: in the framework of the XVI Moscow Easter Festival musicians gave two concerts it Novosibirsk Philharmonic. The meeting with colleagues was necessary because we are extremely interested in closer interaction with the concert organizations of Siberian regions, and the meeting showed that this interest is mutual. I am sure that the result of our meeting will be new bright projects with the participation of Siberian creative collectives".
The participants of the meeting were the heads of the Philharmonic Society of the Siberian Federal District - the director of the Zabaikalsky Krai Philharmonic Society named after Lundstrem Yulia Yerenkova, Director of the State Philharmonic of Altai Region Elena Nadtochiy, Director of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic Yulia Kulakova, Director of the State Philharmonic of the Altai Republic (Gorno-Altaisk City) Elizaveta Zubova, Director of the Tuva State Philharmonic Igor Dulush, Deputy Director of the Omsk State Philharmonic Irina Revyakina, and also Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Elena Mironenko and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Altai Republic Ksenia Shuvaeva.
Participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of the activity of cultural institutions in the subjects of the Federation of the Region, development of cooperation between organizations. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the activities of the Association of Concert Organizations of Siberia. According to the leaders of the philharmonic society, the activation of its work will contribute to the formation of a unified cultural space of the Siberian Federal District, ensuring the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage. Sergey Ivanovich Menyailo supported this initiative.
In particular, as it was noted, it is important to conduct joint interregional cultural projects, to strengthen information interaction. Among other topics of discussion there were the development of professional music education in the regions of Siberia, the staffing of cultural institutions, the awarding of special titles to workers in this field, and other issues.
