Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra will open a large-scale tour around Spain with the Concert in the Canary Islands

Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra returned from the tour: from December 30 to January 2, Novosibirsk musicians performed at the best concert venues in China. And after a short break, on January 9 the orchestra went to a tour to Spain.

For two weeks the musicians will give nine concerts under the baton of conductor Cesar Alvarez. The tour begins with concerts in the Canary Islands: 11 January - on Fuerteventura, 12 January - Gran Canaria, 13 January - Tenerife.

The orchestra will take part in the traditional music festival, which is held in the Canary Islands. Under the direction of Cesar Alvarez, a great friend of the orchestra, with the participation of soloists Polina Shamaeva (mezzo-soprano) and Sergei Plyusnin (baritone), the orchestra will perform Sergei Prokofiev's oratorio "Ivan the Terrible", which was performed in Novosibirsk in November.

The second program consists of orchestral and vocal numbers: extracts from the operas of Glinka, Rimsky-Korsakov, Verdi, Bellini, Mascagni, Donizetti and Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet" and "Francesca da Rimini". Soloist Ekaterina Lekhina (soprano). Conductor César Alvarez.

From January 14 to 23, Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra will give six more concerts in the cities of Alicante, Tarragona, Santander, Logroño, Bilbao.

The tour will end on January 23 at the concert hall in Murcia.

The organizer of the tour is the Spanish agency Goldberg.
