Novosibirsk Philharmonic held a press conference on the opening of the Sixth Trans-Siberian Art Festival

On the evening of March 21, Novosibirsk expects a significant and long-awaited event - the opening of the Sixth Trans-Siberian Art Festival, which will be held in Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

A press conference was held during the day, where plans for the upcoming Festival were announced. The event was attended by nine speakers: artistic director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival Vadim Repin, director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival Oleg Bely, Minister of Culture of Novosibirsk Region Igor Reshetnikov, general director of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society Beibit Mukhamedin, artistic director and chief conductor of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra Thomas Sanderling, conductor who will present Harbin Symphony Orchestra at the Festival Muhai Tang, pianist and composer Claudia Yang, director of Harbin Symphony Orchestra Bo QU and Deputy Director of Harbin Department of Culture and Tourism Wei Guang ZHU.

The press conference was opened by the appeal of Maestro Vadim Repin. “When something happens for the sixth time, this is already a serious and strong tradition, which makes me very happy,” said Maestro. He also thanked the team of Novosibirsk Philharmonic, in particular the team of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra, which will open the Festival under the direction of its artistic director and principal conductor Thomas Sanderling. “Starting from the first steps in musical art, the Novosibirsk orchestra was my rear, my support and the joy of our joint musical intercourse,” said Vadim Repin.

Director of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival, Oleg Bely, said that this year in the framework of the forum 43 events are planned in Russian and 16 – outside. The geography of the Festival covers 7 countries and 27 cities: 14 Russian and 13 foreign. Moreover, 15 cities are taking part in the forum for the first time. According to a good tradition, the Festival holds its events in the towns of Novosibirsk region. Among them is Iskitim, which has already received participants, Krasnoobsk, Maslyanino and Koltsovo, where the Festival’s concerts will be held for the first time.
