Musical program of the International Art Christmas festival is over

On 10 December the musical program of the International Art Christmas festival was closed by the concert of the outstanding pianist Boris Berezovsky on the stage of the philharmonic Chamber hall. The pianist performed in Novosibirsk at the first time.
The musical part of the program proved the festival's international status: from 2 to 10 December on the stages of the Philharmonic Chamber Hall and the Palace of culture of Railway workers 34 musicians from Russia, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, Spain, Finland and the UK performed. Among these stars, invited to Novosibirsk — Richard Galliano, Mark Pekarsky, Boris Andrianov, Arthur Smolyaninov, Andrew Lawrence-King, Boris Berezovsky and other performers. Philharmonic collectives took part in two festival concerts together with the invited stars: musical program of the festival was opened by the performance of Novosibirsk symphony orchestra conducted by Fabio Mastrangelo with the trio of French soloists Elena Rozanova (piano), Raphael Oleg (violin), Francois Salque (cello); legendary Richard Galliano played with the Chamber orchestra under the direction of Alim Shakhmametiev.
In all more than 4000 of spectators visited the musical part of the Christmas Art festival. The Philharmonics provided an opportunity for students and pupils of music schools to buy tickets at a discount price for the concerts of the festival, including sold-out concerts of Richard Galliano and Boris Berezovsky. 20 students of the Novosibirsk special music school (College) got the chance to assist at the final concert of the festival for free.
In the frames of the musical part of the festival the premiere of the project «Sincerely yours» took place: musical-literary composition was formed from the works and letters of the great composers, dedicated to their loved ones. The performers — Arthur Smolyaninov (artistic expression), Boris Andrianov (cello), Jacob Katsnelson (piano). At the first time the audience saw and heard the cymbals — an instrument delivered to the city for performance of the ensemble «Gypsy Devils.» At the time of execution of the visual-acoustic performance “Antiphons” by the ensemble of Mark Pekarsky, DJ Hans Holman and video artist Alexander Pettai more than 50 percussion instruments sounded on the philharmonic stage: 47 were provided by the organizers, a part was brought by the musicians of the ensemble.
Regional musical program included 26 concerts of such ensembles as Vladimir Tolkachev Philharmonic Big Band, Chamber orchestra, Pavel Sharomov vocal ensemble, brass ensemble «Siberian Brass», ensemble of soloists «Novosibirsk Camerata», jazz orchestra «Siberian Dixieland,» Variety Orchestra, other groups and soloists. Regional concerts attended by more than 2800 listeners.
