Jazz-orchestra «Siberian dixieland» will play on the Olympic Games “Sochi – 2014”

Jazz Orchestra of Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society «Siberian Dixieland» was selected by the International Olympic Committee to participate in the cultural program of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014.
Siberian musicians will give three concerts on 19, 20, 21 February at the Olympic Park. In the program — jazz standards and colorful folklore works in jazz interpretation. Besides the «Siberian Dixieland» Novosibirsk will be presented at the Olympic Games by three more teams: Siberian State Russian Folk Choir, instrumental duo Andrey Romanov (button accordion) — Andrey Kugaevsky, brass band «Bis-Band» of the Children's music school of Karasuk region.
All musicians have an extremely intensive rehearsal process, because the significance of the event is very high, as well as the professional level of the participants of cultural program.
Next year Novosibirsk musicians plan to present a joint creative project as a result of a trip to the Olympic Games.
