On 14 December the opening ceremony of the IV St. Petersburg International Cultural Forumtook place at the new stage of Mariinsky Theatre. In the frames of the ceremony the baton was passed from the Year of Literature to the Year of Russian cinema. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin appeared at the event.Tatiana Lyudmilina, the general director of Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society took part in the forum.

From 9 to 24 April the Third Trans-Siberian Art Festival will take place in Novosibirsk with the support of the Governor and the Government of Novosibirsk region. Its artistic director is the star of world classical music, a native of Novosibirsk, violinist Vadim Repin. In 2016 the festival for the first time will extend its geography beyond of Russia. Inside the country the concerts will be held in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk.

On 11 December in Novosibirsk the solemn closing of the XI International Christmas Festival of Arts took place. One of the most in demand opera singers of our time Hibla Gerzmava and Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra with the Principal Guest Conductor Fabio Mastrangelo (Russia-Italy) appeared on the stage of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

The concert program of Hibla Gerzmava with the jazz trio of pianist Daniil Kramer "Opera. Jazz. Blues" became one of the highlights of the Christmas Festival of Arts! The singer manages to combine elegantly the classical way of singing with jazz improvisation. Hibla Gerzmava and Daniil Kramer skillfully combined her voice and his piano in compositions by Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti, Gershwin, Kern and Piazzolla.

On 9 December Handel's Christmas oratorio "Messiah" was performed at the Chamber Philharmonic Hall as part of the XI International Christmas Festival of Arts. Participants: ensemble of soloists "Novosibirsk Camerata", Novosibirsk Philharmonic Chamber Choir under Fabio Mastrangelo (Russia-Italy), soloists Sofia Nekrasova (soprano, St. Petersburg), Svetlana Tokareva (mezzo-soprano), Sergey Kuzmin (tenor ), Nikolay Loskutkin (bass).

On 8 December the concert "Tap & Band" took place in the frames of the Christmas Festival of Arts. Dutch and Belgian tap-dancers Marieke van der Ven and Alexandre van Goethem Wang performed together with Vladimir Tolkachev Big Band.

On 8 December the musical graphic performance "Dedications" took place at the Philharmonic Chamber Hall. We saw on the stage Polish musical Cracow Duo and artist Elena Lola Loli.

On 7 December  a very interesting program "Basho: A Windswept Spirit” took place in the frames of the XI International Christmas Festival of Arts.
