"I honestly do not remember a choral festival of such level", says Igor Tyuvaev, artistic director of the ensemble "Markell's Voices". "It's a huge choral party, and, of course, it's extremely important for us to communicate with colleagues and show ourselves".
Igor Tyuvaev notes that all performances of the collective will be held in the center of Moscow open air. "The venues are interesting, sometimes extreme. For example, we were asked if we were ready to sing on the balcony. Why not - if the whole ensemble will fit there", - says the conductor.
"Markell's Voices" will perform at the contest from 2nd to 6th of May, all in all musicians will give 16 concerts. For performances in Moscow they prepared four programs: the foreign variety, soviet music, sacred music and folklore - Russian and Georgian.
Jury members will be at each performance in the contest. The prize fund of the contest is 17 million rubles. It is expected that the Grand Prix will be awarded in the amount of 6 million 200 thousand rubles, as well as the award of three prizes in each of the three competitive categories.
