Pavel Kogan is conducting

On October 21 Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society will host the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and its renowned conductor Pavel Kogan.

The orchestra was founded in 1943 and is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in Russia. Over the long history of the collective they were led by Lev Steinberg, Nikolay Anosov, Leo Ginzburg, Mikhail Terian, Veronika Dudarova. From 1989 to the present Pavel Kogan has led the orchestra.

The Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan celebrates its 75th anniversary with a big tour around Russia. The listeners of Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Izhevsk, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Omsk, Barnaul, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok will be able to get acquainted with the art of the Orchestra. The map of the tour also includes Novosibirsk, where the concert of Moscow State Symphony Orchestra is timed to the five-year anniversary of Arnold Kats State Concert Hall.

The birthday- orchestra offers to the attention of Novosibirsk public its first tour program - “Russian composers: waltzes and polonaises”. Pavel Kogan dedicates this evening to the “Blessed memory of Arnold M. Kats - Colleague and Friend”.
