The winning of such a contest as the competition named after Tchaikovsky not always guarantees brilliant career to musician. However, pianist Daniil Trifonov, the laureate of the golden medal and Grand Prix of the XIV competition, achieved the worldwide success. In Novosibirsk he presents a program full of intelligent puzzles: Chaconne by Bach in Brahms’ adaptation, Brahms’s Variations on a famous Paganini’s Theme and sonatas by Schubert and Rachmaninoff.
